http://www.drivesafe.org.nz/ - This website layout is a simple scroll-down, but the placement of images beside blocks of text as opposed to above or below them, and the central position and large size of the embedded video make it an interesting site that encourages you to interact and watch their short film.
The simplicity of it makes it's style achievable for us to code.
http://www.lawa.org.nz/ - In a similar way, the Land Air Water Aotearoa website uses images on the side of the text, and that are fixed so that they don't move when you scroll down the page.
http://www.awwwards.com/ - The site design awards website, which has lists of the best and most well-designed websites around. Although they impressive and inspiring, the interactive animations used in these sites is above our level of coding as this stage. Despite this, it's still good for inspiration.
